This isn’t a sales call. It’s a genuine service moment.
When someone joins, make it clear upfront: “Hey, this isn’t a pitch. I’m just here to help and hear what’s going on.”
This shifts the energy immediately. People relax. Defenses go down. And they open up.
In the first 5–10 minutes, you’re collecting what I call psychological gold by listening for:
You’re not coaching. You’re not solving. You’re just listening with curiosity and taking mental notes.
Once they’ve shared, you become the guide. Walk them through a high-level overview of your process (aka your signature framework).
Keep it simple and tailored to their language:
“Step one in my process is [X]. In your case, this is really important because [relate it to their specific challenge].”
