Do you struggle to come up with a great name for your business, your products, and your services?
Did you know that you absolutely must name all of these things in your business?
Wouldn’t it be great to have a formula for coming up with the perfect name for your new offer? (Hint: there’s no such thing as “perfect” but we can definitely find a name that hits the sweet spot and covers all of the must-have bases).
I find that in most cases, when entrepreneurs are searching for a great name, they are way too focused on being witty and cute. So much so, in fact, that it winds up confusing their clients and customers.
I’m not saying that being sassy isn’t important. I love me some sass, but it’s not the only thing to consider when naming your business, products, and services.
In today’s video I’m going to share with you the 3 elements of the perfect product or business name. Below the video, you can grab this week’s Action Sheet which is actually a printable to help you remember the 3 elements of a great name.

How can you add more personality to your product names? http://ow.ly/WdWv6 @CourtRJ
Element #1 – It’s clear.
These days, I’m of the opinion that above all else, the name of your business, product, or service should be clear. In other words, it should tell the person a bit of what to expect (answering the question, what is it?).
Element #2 – It’s unique.
No one else should have the same name! This is for legal reasons, obviously. But you also want to make sure that your name doesn’t get confused with something else out there. Please, for the love of all things holy, Google the name of your new thing before you pick it!
Element #3 – It’s branded.
Finally, a great name is branded. This means that the name communicates something about the personality of the offer. (The Rule Breaker’s Club is a branded name, for example. The Sales Page Kit is a clear name that isn’t super branded).
Your name doesn’t have to have all of these elements, but it should have at least 2 of them.
What’s the name of a product or service that you absolutely love and why?
