I know… “weekly content” doesn’t sound sexy.
But I’m telling you—this is the one habit that has quietly (and consistently) built the foundation of my business for over a decade.
Whether it was YouTube videos in 2012, blogging in the early days, or this podcast you’re listening to now… weekly long-form content is the thing I keep coming back to. Because when it’s there? My business hums. When it’s not? Everything feels harder.
In this post, I’m breaking down why I call it forever content, what it actually does for your business, and how you can create your own rhythm that works for you—no burnout required.
Forever content is any long-form piece of content that lives longer than a fleeting Instagram story. It’s content that:
Builds your authority
Shows up in search
Nurtures your audience over time
Makes your business feel legit
This could be a:
Weekly podcast
YouTube video
Blog post
Email newsletter (yep, I count these too!)
I don’t care which one you choose. I care that you commit to one and do it consistently.
In both Yay for Clients and The Magic Quarter, I teach what I call your marketing rhythm—and forever content is a core piece of it.
Here’s how it breaks down:
Drips: These are your little mentions—Instagram stories, email signatures, low-effort visibility.
Drizzles: This is your weekly long-form content. It’s steady. It’s visible. It compounds.
Deluges: These are your launches, promotions, and events.
If you’re only doing drips and deluges with no drizzle, you’re missing the glue that holds everything together.
I’ve gone through seasons where I let my weekly content slide. Maybe I got busy with a high-ticket offer. Maybe I had a coach tell me it wasn’t “necessary” anymore (spoiler alert: bad advice). And honestly? It showed.
Even when I wasn’t feeling the effects immediately, my audience was. Things got stale. I lost momentum. And I felt it. Like something was missing.
Now that I’m back on my weekly podcast and newsletter rhythm? Everything feels better. More grounded. More magnetic. More real.
Here’s the cheat sheet for choosing your forever content:
Builds deep connection and trust
Great if you love to talk (hi, it me)
Easy to batch + repurpose
Incredible for SEO and long-term search
Higher learning curve + video editing
Great for writers
Good SEO value
Easy to start with low tech
Direct to your audience
Easy to repurpose or archive publicly
Often overlooked—but SO powerful
Start with the one that feels easiest and most natural. Then build from there.
Let me be blunt: if you’re still asking yourself “Should I post this week?” or “What platform should I use?”—you haven’t committed.
This isn’t a vibe. It’s a decision.
Create your bare-minimum content system. Block time on your calendar. Get your episode, blog, or email out every single week—no matter what.
It doesn’t have to be perfect. But it does have to be published.
When people say “I just need momentum,” THIS is where it starts.
Your weekly content is how you show up consistently, build credibility, and make sure your audience doesn’t forget about you.
It’s how you avoid starting from zero every time you want to launch or sell something.
So if you’re feeling wobbly in your business, start here.
📣 Pick your forever content.
📅 Commit to showing up weekly.
